History

Opening in 2001, RoseCrest is the fifth retirement community under the Lutheran Homes of South Carolina (LHSC). After opening four previous communities, LHSC wanted to serve the seniors and their families in the upstate. By purchasing a peach farm in Inman and breaking ground on Halloween of 1999, RoseCrest would become the answer for many who desired quality residential and healthcare services throughout their retirement.

LHSC was established over a century ago to offer older adults a better, more dignified way to age. Through the years, our organization has demonstrated overwhelming commitment to the wellbeing of residents, patients, clients, and their families of all creeds and faiths to become the largest non-profit senior housing and care administrator in South Carolina.

Each day, over 1,100 employees provide services according to our mission to over 1,300 seniors and their families across our great state. We're proud of our reputation for innovation and compassionate care while valuing and respecting those we work for and alongside. With team members specializing in a number of different disciplines, we efficiently utilize and maximize our resources while collaborating together to create unique plans and responsive services that extend throughout our community's comprehensive continuum of care.
